About Us
Hello! Are you searching for a quality built raised garden bed? Have you encountered flimsy corrugated metal beds with weak braces that rust? Or what about the wooden beds that rot in 5 years, or the cheap plastic beds that are available? Are you frustrated with the ever-increasing food prices or do you just love digging your hands in the soil?!
I was in your shoes a few years ago. I had wooden beds made with cedar...they rotted. I placed my garden in the ground, but was frustrated with the never ending weeding it required. I started searching for other options. I found a few metal garden bed suppliers but they were made from corrugated metal and I was scared they would start to bow after a few years because of saturated soil pressure. We live in Canada where everything is subject to extreme cold in the winter and then high temperatures in the summer. Everything needs to be strong!
After lots of searching I found a Canadian small town entrepreneur (GrowBoxx, Chilliwack, BC) who builds raised garden beds. The Dekker Brothers construct the beds with industrial-quality galvanized steel, these beds are built to last! They have a 20 plus year lifespan! I reached out to them and after seeing their product for myself, I knew I had to share it with my fellow Ontarians. We now sell his product to all Ontario.
Unlike many consumer-grade alternatives, our raised beds are resistant to bending, bowing, rotting, and cracking, ensuring their longevity and eliminating common flaws. They are so strong you can flip them on their side and stand on them, and they won't bow, even without bracing in the middle! With the Classic Raised Garden Bed, you can have peace of mind knowing you have chosen a premium, long-lasting product for your gardening endeavors.
What makes our Raised Garden Bed better than other suppliers of steel garden boxes?
Our Garden Bed is made with a structural, industrial-grade metal, not repurposed thin gauge metal cladding, which is better suited for a tool shed roof. Other metal-based gardening bed suppliers use materials that are thin and light to reduce transportation and shipping costs from overseas factories. These often bend from having the sides bow outwards due to saturated soil pressure. The thin material is easily dented or punctured with sharp garden tools. The internal support struts then take up valuable planting space within the bed itself.
Thanks to the industrial-quality galvanized metal used in manufacturing our Garden Beds, they are exceptionally sturdy. They maintain strength and do not bow, even without internal structural support! Because of the high quality metal, other external factors such as fertilizers, pesticides (natural or chemical), water, and temperature fluctuations have no effects on our garden beds.
